PT: Moving and deleting bookings

You can easily move bookings around, however this is normally only used in consultation with the parent involved.

Bookings should only be deleted at the parent’s request.

Moving a booking

  1. From the list of interview rounds click the ‘View my bookings’ button
  2. This will display a list of time slots.  Green slots are still available.  Pink slots are booked interviews and will show the student and parent name.  Grey or white slots are your unavailability.
  3. Identify the booking you wish to move (it will be a pink slot) and click inside the box
  4. A set of options will appear above the booking slot – click the ‘Move’ button to move this interview
  5. If you clicked this time slot by accident click the “X” in the top right corner to cancel any actions
  6. After clicking the ‘Move’ button a message will appear indicating you should now click an available time slot (a green slot).  You may notice a change in the number of pink slots that now appear, this is because the system will not allow you to click on any of your current bookings, nor will it allow you to click on any of the parent’s other bookings
  7. After clicking a green slot the page is re-displayed with the interview now appearing in the target time slot (the parent’s other bookings will no longer be displayed)

Moving a booking from one staff member to another

This operation requires a Round manager or a SOBS Administrator level of security

This process is similar to the above, you just need to remember that the ‘Move’ button acts like a ‘Cut’ operation, moving the booking into the clipboard.  So you can now use the ‘Staff’ icon in the toolbar to view another staff members bookings, and then click a green slot on this page where the ‘Paste’ operation will place the booking on this staff members interview list.

Avoiding parent duplicates

Sobs will not allow you to double book the parent, so when you select ‘Move’ the booking is ‘Cut’ into the clipboard, the display will not show the staff members current bookings and the parents current bookings, so only remaining available slots are coloured green and selectable.

Deleting a booking

  3. Identify the booking you wish to delete (it will be a pink slot) and click inside the box
  4. A set of options will appear above the booking slot – click the ‘Delete’ button to delete this interview

Bookings can also be deleted by staff or parents using the ‘Parent access’ pages.

Actions such as making, moving, editing and deleting bookings are all recorded in an audit log.
